Upgrading from Anope 1.8 to Anope 2.0

Those who have been spending some time on the IRC network over the past few weeks have noticed that a lot more recently I was thinking about upgrading services on the network to services 2.o just a little ahead of schedule. The reason why the move was a little ahead of schedule was because Anope 2.0 actually isn't released yet. It it is still in its release candidate stages.

So, this is what I've been doing for the past few days

I'm sure that all of you are aware of my absence in posting, at least by a little. The reason being is that I was busy. Busy trying to make the website better of course! In our current chat room on GeekShed I had a discussion with some of the members about possibly starting  an IRC network. So it is not actually "real" yet, but I did give it some effort.

So basically throughout last week and this week I was slowly working my way to getting a stable (working) install of UnrealIRCd and Anope IRC services working, almost without issue. Now I know that some of you probably have set up an IRC server, and probably could do it with your eyes closed. However I didn't have much experience in setting up an IRC server so I was basically working from scratch.
