I was watching some of my favorite YouTuber's the other day when one of them discussed how Respawn (the makers of Titanfall) are going to deal with cheaters/hackers in their game Titanfall.
Instead of how Call of Duty and other Activision games handle cheaters, instead of banning the users, Respawn says that they'll just simply move hackers to a "cheat" server, where only hackers are playing on! That's right -- hackers will just get stuck on a server with, you guessed it, more hackers!
I applaud this effort. Hackers get a rise out of ban evading console bans, so a way to really make them not want to cheat anymore is to stick them with players on the same playing field. It's no fun cheating if every person is also cheating, and if those other players are even better cheaters.
How effective this move actually is will be proven further down the game's lifecycle, when more and more people actually buy the game when there are sales, price drops, etc. Do you think this will be effective? I sure do! Let me know in the comments what you think.
