(This was sorta cross posted from Google+)
For those that follow me at Techman's World, you know that I haven't been posting a lot..and I know too. It's just that technology is starting to feel really slow, and new and interesting things are less common than a mere 1-2 years ago. I don't think it's writers block at all.
Although I tried to get back into the swing of things with +System76's Lemur Ultra, I haven't gotten an email from them and they appear to not be responding to my emails...and even if they have a mail problem +Emma Marshall usually contacted me personally to tell me if they had email issues.
Disqus feels pretty quiet too..and they still refuse to add the one thing that I want from them: CSS support. Big sites like Engadget and TechCrunch dropped them for Livefyre; one of their reasons being lack of customization. Even new publishers refuse to carry Disqus because they can't customize it, and Disqus' built in system for customization doesn't cut it (and I don't blame them either).
It feels like press relationships in general that I have been having at Techman's World (and personally) are starting to fall apart..and what's frightening is that I didn't really do anything to cause this. I try to keep tabs on things regularly. Maybe the time where everything was good has passed?
All I have been working on recently is Techman's World IRC, which I use both as a learning experience, a fun project, and a passer of time. Time, obviously not spent on delivering content that I know you guys crave and I crave to deliver. In the mean time, you can click the chat button at the top in the tab bar to demo what I have been working on lately; feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm also looking for great users :)
