When you buy a new product, knowing that there is a newer version of the OS coming out soon, what do you do? Well most of the time OEMs offer some sort of deal program to make it really cheap to upgrade. Today, Microsoft announced their deal program. customers who purchased a Windows 7 machine beyond June 2 can pick up Windows 8 Pro for just $14.99.

The offer is good through January 31 of next year, so you have plenty of time to think about upgrading. Registration is currently live for 140 countries, meaning pretty much wherever you are, you can sign up (if you quality).
