Samsung commits to improve smartphone battery life in 2012

We all love Samsung and their line of smart phones, right? Well maybe it is all great except for one thing that is a problem for other smart phones. That my friend, is battery life. Mostly caused by power consumption driven by larger displays, LTE, and other uses. Samsung's vice president of product innovation, Kevin Packingham, said in an interview with CNET that the company has set the big goal that smartphones coming out this year last an entire day under average to moderately heavy use. How? Samsung's plans include beefing up batteries, but it also intends to look at improving energy efficiency by tweaking the various radios -- LTE, WiFi -- to make them a little less power hungry.
