System76 refreshes its Ratel and Wild Dog Performance desktops

System76 Wild Dog Performance
System76's Emma Marshall sent me some info yesterday about their upcoming refresh to two of their desktop machines, which is set to be formally announced later today. This refresh concerns the Wild Dog and Ratel Performance products.

For both machines, they are getting a 4th generation Intel  Haswell CPU refresh. This means that it also comes with the performance improvements as well as the graphical improvements. I'm sure that most would appreciate this update, as it offers many benefits.

Here are the improvements for the Ratel Performance:
  • 4th gen Haswell CPUs (both i5's and i7's)
  • Up to 5 TB Storage
  • Dual Channel DDR3 Memory up to 16 GB at 1600 MHz
  • Intel High Definition 4600 Graphics or Optional nVidia Graphics
Here are the improvements for the Wild Dog Perfomance:
  • Up to 6 TB high performance SATA III Storage
  • 4th gen Intel Core i5 and i7 CPU's
  • Graphics options featuring 2 GB nVidia GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked with 1152 CUDA Cores
  • Large memory compacity up to 32 GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600 MHz
