Google finally grabs Gmail domain and trademark in Germany

Google has offered Gmail to German's since '05, however the typical Gmail domain had already been snapped up by a local businessman in Germany and the company had to plump for the longer googlemail.de addresses. Now, according to the Financial Times, both the Gmail trademark and domain were transferred across to Google earlier this month, although there are no specifics as to how much money changed hands in the deal.
